Yes, yes we’ve been discussing the Google Glass on and off and want to purchase it as soon as it hits the market but then we realize how much our dear INR has fallen and we may have to make do with our Stone Age-esque phones and social media to stalk that ex of ours.
Well, Google has finally announced (after months and months of rumour) extending Android to watches, named as ‘Android Wear’ and tagged as ‘Information that moves with you’. Google has said on its official blog, ‘Because Android for Wearables works with Android’s rich notification system, many apps will already work well’. This implies something because Samsung’s Galaxy Gear is not compatible with all of Samsung phones and the Pebble Watch has limited functionality and apps.
Google also announced on the blog, ‘We’re also already working with several consumer electronics manufacturers, including Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung; chip makers Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm; and fashion brands like the Fossil Group to bring you watches powered by Android Wear later this year.’ LG has already announced and introduced the G Watch as a part of Android Wear.
You won’t have to type anything anymore and it will just respond to one touch and the spoken word. For example, if I like another woman’s shoes and want to know from where can I purchase them I should be able to do that, shouldn’t I?
Instead of me spoiling the surprise of what all Android Wear can do and how technology is taking over your life, why not take a look at the ultra cool video?
