Here’s a wonderful treat for the literature, books, music and art aficionados, as the Times of India’s Literary fair will be kick starting with a bash at Bandra’s Mehboob studios. The carnival will begin from December 5th and will go on till the 7th with esteemed industry stalwarts on speaker’s board who will grace the event by their presence.
So here’s a run down on the main events to watch out for in this 3 day festival.
Day 1- Begin your power breakfast at 11 am with Shekhar Gupta as he talks about “Can Modi reboot the superpower dream?” accompanied by experts like Rajeev sethi, Abanti Sankaranarayanan and Rana Kapoor.
Next up is, “The footloose world of travel writer” at 3 pm, moderated by the most loved travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller’s editor, Divia Thani Daswani.
Post this. one of my favorite actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak will enact a drama called ‘Beastly Tales’ at 5 pm. And if you’re a passionate book and music lover you can go join Susmit Sen as he launches his new book and hosts the Coca Cola music evening. So book your entire day to have a really good time!
Day 2: Begin your second day with understanding the unique art of storytelling as Shekhar Kapur discusses ‘Mr India, Mr World’ at 11 am.
Then all the movie buffs can catch up with Zoya Akhtar and English Vinglish Director Gauri Shinde at 12pm, for the panel discussion on ‘Heroine is the new Hero’.
Also, watch out Shantanu Moitra as he launches his musical memoirs with Swanand Kirkire and Shreya Ghoshal at 7pm.
Day 3: Join legendary actor Om Puri, as he and Chetan Bhagat discuss over 100-foot journey from books to films at 12 pm. What’s more? There is also a special children’s workshop to get your kiddos indulge in some interesting activities!
