Circa 1994, when slapstick humour wasn’t much appreciated by the Indian audience, Rajkumar Santoshi quietly released a movie that tanked at the Box-office. Little did the industry know then, Andaz Apna Apna would go on to become one of the most iconic movies of all time. Last year, as the movie completed 2 decades, Rajkumar Santoshi said that Aamir and Salman were ready to work in the sequel. Admit it, every one of us is just waiting to see Amar and Prem lighten up the screen with their crazy chemistry and silly wits.
Our collective consciousness has worked towards the making of the much awaited part 2. Yes, the wait is finally over as a trusted source informed The Royale that Sajid Khan would be directing the sequel, and that it will be produced by a leading production house.
The complete plot of the movie is not known yet as Sajid is being very secretive about the story-line. Even so, we’ve got confirmed intel from our source within the production house, that the sequel will begin from where the last scene of part 1 plays out.
As the police are on their way with the gangsters, Crime Master Gogo (Shakti Kapoor) somehow manages to trick the inspector (Tiku Talsania) and helps everyone get away. The ridiculed inspector then decides to hide this fact from Mr. Bajaj (Paresh Rawal) to avoid making his own mockery.
Teja, who has taken cover in a hideout devises another plot to steal the diamonds and manages to capitalize on Amar and Prem’s prime weakness, money. He offers them a share of the diamonds if they successfully manage to steal those from Bajaj. For once, both Amar and Prem give-in to the greed. However, they soon find themselves in a crux as nobody knows where the diamonds are hidden.
The sudden transgression of Amar and Prem in a silly manner is certainly uncalled for. Further in a bizarre turn of events the reality of Amar and Prem is revealed.
The plot certainly seems to intrigue us. We are as keen as you to go on yet another joy-ride. However, we’d have to wait another year for that. The movie is scheduled to be released early in 2016.
I really appreciate that you’ve patiently read this article. And hey, wish you a Happy Fool’s Day!!! 😉
