Ramzaan or Ramadaan, as a few of us call it, is a sacred month to celebrate the generosity of mankind; to maintain a control over our worldly desires and not feed the fire of the demon inside us. I have always admired the determination required to keep a month long roza. However, more than that I am fond of the regal food display during iftiyaari. Food is the highlight of my life and I am not ashamed to admit that I have often been bribed by it. So, when recently I was invited to an iftiyaari party by my friend Parvez Alam, I grabbed the invitation before he could change his mind. It was a close family affair and each individual was dressed in traditional attires. When Parvez begin to tell me about the rituals in detail, I got distracted by the aroma emerging from the kitchen. Not my fault! I need good food to maintain my round size!!! What waited were deep culinary secrets and finger-licking Ramzaan recipes. Below you will find two delecious Ramzaan recipes that are quick to make and have great nutritional value. These recipes can be used in many ways and made on multiple occassions.
