Samsung’s gone bling-bling with a special edition Galaxy SIII Mini called the ‘Crystal Edition’. In terms of specifications the device remains unchanged. This variant will feature 166 Swarovski Crystals that are embedded into the battery cover; the rest of the form remains the same. The SIII Mini, launched a little after the SIII made its debut, was designed to offer as much flexibility without compromising too much on features.
Galaxy SIII Mini Features
It’s equipped with a 4.0 Super AMOLED display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It features a dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor to run Android Jelly Bean, and a 5 megapixel camera. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi with all the trimmings (DLNA, Dual Band, Direct, Hot Spot), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with GLONASS and A-GPS Support.
To be fair, apart from the new addition on the back case, the €299 (Rs 25,300 approx) spend on the Crystal Edition only makes sense if you are looking for a phone that’s also a fashion accessory. Otherwise, you could give this one a miss.
