Unveiled in August, Samsung’s Gear S is all set to enter the US store shelves on November 7. This gadget that one can wear can be used to make calls, receive any notification and also can be used to check mails.
From November 7, this device will be available in US and the four major carriers are AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile besides, the device will also be available at Samsung Experience Shops found in Best Buy stores.
This wearable device has a 2-inch curved Super AMOLED screen making it quite comfortable to use to check mails and other notifications. The gear is powered by the Tizen mobile operating system which is Samsung’s alternative to Google’s Android mobile OS. It is run by 1GHz dual-core processor and is loaded with Samsung’s S Health fitness app, as well as Nike+ Running making it a must-have device for all the fitness freaks.
It is the first 3G cellular radio in Samsung’s line up which can make calls without the presence of a phone nearby; other wearable devices need to stay connected with phone to make calls.
AT&T is offering the device for $200 with a two-year contract. Sprint is offering for no money down and 24 monthly payments of $16 through its Easy Pay system meanwhile, T-Mobile is giving out same offer with $14.58 per month over a two-year period. Verizon has not yet announced the pricing.
