Samsung is at it again… in its constant thirst to prove its supremacy over other Smartphone brands, the Korean giant has picked up yet another metaphorical glass. This time, the glass is named ‘Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime’.
Not surprisingly, the details of the new handset were uploaded on the company’s Vietnam website, one of the countries where millions of Samsung’s handsets are manufactured. With images of its latest Smartphone being leaked online, it was about time that Samsung officially launched the J7 Prime for the world to see.
Starting with the screen, the J7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch PS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the user can rest assured that the screen can withstand quite a few scratches. In spite of it being a mid-range phone, Samsung hasn’t compromised on the kind of visuals that the user can get their eye on.
On the OS front, although the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime won’t come with the Android Nougat, the Marshmallow version will run the phone. The Exynos 7870 Octa-core chipset helps the phone clock speeds of up to 1.6 GHz so that the user can play games, show off their scores with a tweet, and boast about it to a friend on chat, simultaneously without any lags. The 3GB RAM also helps with this multitasking of the Smartphone. The Mali-T830MP2 graphics processing unit ensures that the user has a pleasurable gaming experience with an excellent picture quality.
The user will get ample of space to store apps, photos, videos, etc. with the 32GB internal storage and 256GB external card slot. With 4G connectivity, the phone will help you keep abreast of the latest on the internet thanks to high-speed capabilities.
The handset incorporates a 13MP primary camera with autofocus and f/1.9 aperture, while the secondary camera is 8MP. The camera on the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is nothing special; however, it is more than enough for the daily Snapchatter, selfie lover, and memory-taker.
S Bike Mode
Samsung is quite considerate when it comes to the thousands of its users riding bikes; the J7 Prime comes with the S-Bike mode which once toggled ‘on’ automatically sends a message to any caller stating that the user is riding. This means no more stopping the bike, removing the helmet, and texting/calling the other person that you can’t take the call.
A powerhouse with multiple functions and features, it is only fair that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with a battery that can keep the power on the phone going; that’s why the phone uses a 3300mAh battery that can keep the phone running for a day even with heavy usage.
The metal body of the phone adds to the appeal of the phone while the fingerprint sensor ensures that the phone’s integrity is not compromised. The phone will be available in two colours: black, and gold.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is being promoted as a mid-range Smartphone catering to those who want a multitasking monster but would like to keep the big notes in. Priced at 6,290,000 VND which roughly equals Rs. 19, 000, the phone will be seen competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Sony, Motorola, HTC, and Oppo which can be easily bought by making use of the amazing Flipkart offers. However, Indian buyers will have to wait for some time as the device is currently available only in Vietnam.
