As the Final Round of 16 nears the end, the 59th season of Europe’s Premier club football league organized by UEFA, known to the world as CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, is heading to one of the most dramatic finishes ever.
The Champions League showcases 32 of the most successful European clubs, who compete against each other to outplay and outclass the best, finally crowning themselves the leaders of European Football. The tournament operates into group and knock-out round, where all the teams are divided into eight four-team groups. Each team play the other team in a two-game home and away game, based on which they are selected to go further into the qualifying round. After the three qualifying rounds, the teams advance to group stage play off, then to a knockout phase where the Finals are held. Matches are usually played on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
