Rajinikanth, the Tamil super star needs no special introduction. Even at the age of 63, he enjoys unparallel superstardom in the south, especially in Tamil Nadu with numerous fan clubs (supposed to have 70,000 registered fan clubs) who revere him next to God.

Having come a long way from his impoverished childhood and a short stint as a bus conductor, Rajinikanth is a multi talented personality who is also a producer, screenwriter and a spiritualist too. The fact that Shahrukh Khan paid a tribute to the Tamilian superstar through his movie ‘The Chennai Express’  by dedicating the Lungi Dance track indicates his evergreen popularity.  Apart from being the recipient of the Padma Bhushan, his list of accolades is pretty long.

Kochadaiyaan @TheRoyaleIndia

All set to release his latest movie, Kochadaiiyaan, a 3D Tamil film full of action, adventure and history, Rajnikant is all set to yet another round of records. The first one being getting more than 100k followers on his Twitter handle as he officially joined Twitter to promote Kochadaiyaan through social media. In Kochadaiyaan, Rajinikanth has played a double role of being Kochadaiyaan as a loyal commander and a confidante of an emperor and Rana, the commander’s son. Carrying a regal look in a well toned body with beard, long hair and minimal jewellery such as stone-studded anklets and a bead chain, there is lot of speculation relating to Rajinikanth’s look and character in this film. The story revolves around the royal war amongst three kings spanning different generations. In fact, Kochadaiyaan is one of its kind movie in which his daughter, Soundarya is directed her own super star father, leaving much more in the fray than one could have imagined.

His noteworthy roles span across these movies too –

Endhiran – 2010

Another acclaimed film which has been dubbed as Robo in Telugu and Robot in Hindi. In Endhiran, all his three roles are enacted perfectly accentuated by the apt look he carries in each of them. Rajinikanth’s nearly perfect “Robot” look while his negative look was highlighted by green eye lens, red coloured spiked hair and the scientist look was perfected with the Oakley beard, dark sunglasses and leather apparel.

Considered to be the most expensive film till date, Endhiran is a sci-fi film with Aishwarya Rai and Danny Denzongpa in other lead roles.

Sivaji - The Boss @TheRoyaleIndia

Sivaji – The Boss – 2007

It is yet another Tamil action film with Rajinikanth playing the lead role along with Shriya Saran. Carrying an urbane, chic and an extremely US returned professional look; Rajinikanth leaves a lasting impression along with his witty dialogues.

As the protagonist, Sivaji is successful computer professional who wishes to engage himself in philanthropic services across India but has to overcome a tough rival to do so.

Chandramukhi – 2005

It is considered to be his comeback film after a debacle period, Rajinikanth proved to be a total hit. Though it did away with regular Rajinikanth dialogues, his screen presence was awesome. His mid air dives, kicks, stunts and extra sensory perceptions did make the movie a remarkable hit.

A gratifying onscreen persona, his trademark entry, action stunts and punch lines et al are simply too fabulous not to create an electrifying and exhilarating aura on the viewers, making them vie for more and more. Even these parameters cannot define or limit Rajinikanth’s popularity and fame across the world today, Rajinikanth is undoubtedly the ultimate ‘Thalaivar’ (boss in Tamil).
