The soy sauce gives a sweet and tangy glaze to Pan fried chicken with special soy sauce. You can serve it with rice or noodles for a complete meal.   • 150 gm (6 oz) chicken leg, boneless

  • ½ teaspoon refined flour

  • 1 egg

  • Salt to taste

  • ¼ teaspoon sugar

  • 100 ml (3 fl oz) stock

  • ¼ teaspoon spring onion, chopped

  • ¼ teaspoon coriander leaves

  • 1 red chilli

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic , sliced

  • A few drops of sesame oil

  • A pinch of white pepper powder

  • Oil for deep- frying

  • A dash of dark soy sauce

  • A dash of light soy sauce

  • A dash of fish sauce


1. Prepare a batter by mixing egg, flour and salt.

2. Coat the chicken pieces with the batter and deep-fry.

3. Now to prepare the special soy sauce, heat oil in a wok.

4. Add garlic and sauté till fragrant.

5. Now add all the remaining ingredients (except spring onion and coriander).

6. Add spring onion and coriander leaves after removing from fire.

7. Serve hot.

8. It can be paired with noodles or rice.

Serve it hot with rice or noodles for family dinners and also for guests.
