If rumors are to be believed, Nokia will be showcasing the Lumia 1820 smart phone and the Lumia 2020 tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 to be held in Barcenlona, Spain from 24-27 February. Several new Lumia devices (Lumia 1520, Lumia 2520 and more) were launched at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi last month and with two more new devices, the Finnish mobile maker seems all set for the smart phone market share battle.
Lumia 1820 is a successor to the highly talked-about Lumia 1020. There is no official word yet on the specs but the device is most likely to sport a metal unibody and a Lytro-style camera. In case you didn’t know, a Lytro-style camera allows adjusting focus after the picture is taken.
The Nokia Lumia 2020 is rumored to feature an 8″ display (two inches smaller than the Lumia 2520) with 1080p. The device might also have a stylus support. It’s expected to run on Windows RT 8.1 OS and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.
Just like the typical Lumia series, both the rumored devices will probably have a polycarbonate body and will be available in several colors.
Well, all of these are rumors and the truth will only be revealed at the MWC in the first quarter of 2014. But, Nokia will surely be looking to go out on a high with Microsoft set to complete the takeover of its business somewhere during the same period.
