Apple announces the new MacBook Pro powered by the fourth generation Intel quad-core processor with the Haswell micro-architecture. The laptop will be available in 2 variants – Entry Level and High-End. While the former sports a 13-inch display, the latter features a slightly larger screen at 15-inch.

In case you are too curious about the pricing, the 13-incher will cost you somewhere around Rs. 135000 including VAT, while the one with a 15-inch display will make you shed a whopping 199900, which obviously sounds a bit too much. But, if you are looking out for something quite close to perfect, the price definitely won’t make you sweat.

13-inch MacBook Pro Specifications (Base Model)

  • 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 128 GB Storage
  • 4 GB DDR3L RAM
  • OS X Mavericks
  • 720p HD camera
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2 USB 3 ports, HDMI port and a headphone port

The entry-level model features a 4th Generation Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz. The Turbo Boost technology lets you further clock the speed up to 2.9 GHz., which is quite impressive. The inbuilt Iris Graphics enhances the overall performance by 90 %. Moreover, the laptop packs in a powerful battery that can easily last for around 9 hours on heavy usage.

15-inch MacBook Pro Specifications (Base Model)

  • 2 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor
  • 256 GB Storage
  • 8 GB DDR3L RAM
  • OS X Mavericks
  • 720p HD camera

The 15-inch MacBook pro plans to offer you a bit more than what it’s entry-level counterpart offers. The base model comes preloaded with a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 processor which can be further clocked up to 3.5 GHz. Above all, an 8 hours of battery life is definitely note-worthy.

Final Verdict

When it comes to design, MacBook never disappoints you. So, the look truly deserves a straight 10/10. With the best hardware pumped in, you won’t complain about the performance either, which calls out for another 9/10. No doubt, the price tag may scare you a bit, but don’t forget, it’s a MacBook Pro with a Retina display.
