Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week showcased an eclectic mix of established as well as new designers. The day began with INIFD qualified designers Chandani Mohan, Divya Sheth, Parul Bhargava, Vilvin Sabu, Sreejtih Jeevan presenting their collections highlighting the hues of the season.

GenNext designer Divya Sheth presented her dresses in combination of blues and indigo, with a couple of them of flowing length, quite suitable for attending Page 3 events too!! Fusion of Far East motifs and traditional Indian embroidery makes her collection an international one.
Befitting the metrosexual guys, the Antar – Agni collection presented by Ujwal Dubey, yet another GenNext desginer was predominated by suits, blazers, jackets and turbans in various shades of grey, charcols, navy blues and being accentuated by fall and drape of each of the outfit, defining a trend all the way
Highlighted by bold colours of burnt orange, flesh pink and eternal black and white, Chandni Mohan’s very feministic collection showcases a blend of harmony and defining lines as inspired by the architectural marvels of Preston Scott
Travel back in time to the 1950s with Parul Bhargava’s Mirage collection accentuated by relaxed tops, slim skirts and palazzos, box jackets in colours such as browns, beige, blues and splash of colour adding by abstract prints. Just perfect to highlight the curves of a fab body!!
Offering a perfect tribute to his rustic home state Kerala, Sreejith Jeevan’s debut collection Fashion Forecast offered pleated pants, rustic skirts, cropped jacket, hip length blouses, dresses and tunics for casual wear. Accentuated with ship and umbrellas as motifs in muted colors of white, brown and cloudy grey, we can relate with Sreejith’s love for God’s own country.
Showcasing her resort collection titled ‘Tropical Chic’, Vilvin Sabu offers body suit, rompers, shorts and more in tropical hues of blue, orange, yellow, fuschia and rust coupled with abstract prints highlighting a touch of art and heritage.
