The Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 had a colossal opening on the 19th of August at The Palladium, Mumbai. Jaw-dropping really would just be an understatement, as the Bollywood Divas sizzled the ramp with their oomph!!! The opening shows presented by DHL, showcased two talented designers Masaba Gupta and Amit Aggarwal.
The opening show by Amit Aggarwal reflected more of the dark romance. His debut stint at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 was much applauded by the Fashion fraternity last year. The finesse in his work reflected in his designs this year as well. The grand end to the show was uplifted by Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen. She dazzled in a fitted, striped black draped gown.
Masaba Gupta’s rise in the fashion world has been sensational. The feisty designer, winner of the Gen Next Designer Show in the year 2009, brought the Vintage 1960’s look to life. Her designs had a touch of Goan Flavour with the exuberant use of yellow and neon hues.
The show stopper, Shilpa Shetty sizzled in a sinuous black printed cut-out gown.
