Indian smartphone vendor Lava has pulled up their socks and is all set to catch up with its rival manufacturers, Micromax and Karbonn in the Indian market. Lava is all geared up for the official release of various devices.

The latest budget smartphone by Lava, the Iris 406Q is now available online. You can pre-order this smartphone for Rs. 6,999. The Lava Iris 406Q is showcased on the company’s website without price details and availability. The online retailer, Flipkart notes that Iris 406Q will be released in the last week of April.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat. It offers dual-SIM Support with dual-sim standby. The gadget features a 4 inches display with WVGA resolution.

It operates on a quad-core CPU, which clocks at 1.2GHz and complemented with 1 GB RAM. The Iris 406Q flaunts a 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone is packed with 4 GB inbuilt storage, which can be easily expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The device supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS/GPS, and GPRS/EDGE connectivity options.

The Iris 406Q is powered by a 1700 mAh battery which could prove quite enough since it offers low-resolution display. All in all, depending upon your usage having additional power handy could be a lifesaver at times.
