The Elite i20, Hyundai’s latest premium hatchback is all set to be launched on August 11, 2014, the bookings for which have commenced from August 4, 2014. Designed in Rsheim, Germany at the Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre, the Elite i20 is all set to replace the current i20 models and be rated as a premier hatchback car in India.
With this launch, Hyundai is on a positive note of enhancing its market share in India while being committed to offer a new automobile each year in a segment where they are currently absent. This being the second launch in 2014, the first launch was that of the Xcent, a compact sedan car launched in March 2014.
Developed on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy which gives an entirely new look to the hatchback. Accentuating the front fascia of Elite i20 is Hyundai’s hexagonal grill, the latest signature version while a slim horizontal strip meeting the front head lamps. Equally interesting is the rear look and feel which includes boomerang shaped tail lights a new wrap around window, both of these offer a refreshing new look considering the existing hatchbacks available in the market.
Interested? Expected ex showroom price is Rs 5-7.5 lakh while the existing competitors in the market include Tata Bolt, Fiat Punto Evo, Honda Jazz, VW Polo and not leaving out the Maruti Suzuki Swift. Well, with bookings already underway, you could give it a serious thought.
Meanwhile, you could even wait for the Hyundai’s foray into the compact SUV segment which is likely to happen very soon.
