Indian automobile market has got two additions to its list with the launch of Hyundai Elite i20 and Tata Zest. Hyundai’s premium hatchback Elite i20 starts from INR 4.89 lakhs for base model and goes up to INR 7.67 lakhs. Available in 4 Petrol and 4 Diesel variant, Hyundai Elite i20 is available in seven colours which are Pristine Blue, Stardust, Red Passion, Midas Gold, Sleek Sliver, Mystic Blue and Polar White.
Advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity, three spoke steering wheel with audio and bluetooth controls, start stop button, smart key, tilt and Telescopic steering wheel, escort function and auto folding outside rear view mirror (ORVM) are the major attractions of Hyundai Elite i20. With the launch of this hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Swift, VW Polo, Honda Jazz, Fiat Punto Evoand Tata Bolt in same segment will now face a tough competition.
The much awaited sub-compact sedan of Tata motors – the Zest is available in India for a starting price of Rs. 4.64 lakh. Design studios of Tata Motors – Pune, Conventry (UK) and Turin (Italy) came together to give inputs for designing this sedan. Meanwhile, Tata has launched the car with two engine options which is a 1.2-litre MPFi turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and a 1.3-litre multijet diesel units.
The highlights of Tata Zest are its new 5-inch infotainment system designed by Harman/Kardon and the next-gen navigation & location based services designed by MapmyIndia. The engine’s excellent response due to the use of drive by wire technology, improved suspension, ABS while Automated Manual Transmission are other main highlights of this car.
