Possibly the most glamorous event of the year, Women’s Paris Fashion Week 2015’s Winter/Fall collection by renowned designers has taken the entire fashion industry by storm. The event held from March 3rd to March 11th 2015 witnessed revolutionary designs by the Gods of the industry while celebrities from all over were present to grace the fabulous event.
The many couturiers who made a fantastic display of alluring ensembles, some surprise entertainment and celebrity spotting. We give you a scoop on all things that got the crowd stirring in their seats at the Paris Fashion Week Winter/Fall 2015.
Saint Laurent has gone all punk this season! Skinny jeans, black leather jackets and faded t-shirts were the trendsetters of the night which added a rather young and carefree look to their attires. Though the clothes don’t look very expensive on the runway, they most certainly are in stores. The collection did not fail to grab all eyes, in a good or bad way? Now that’s quite subjective.
Hermès was the complete opposite of Saint Laurent where the clothing line oozed class and elegance with every single design that graced the catwalk.
Chanel never ceases to amaze us. This time, taking creativity of the ramp walk to a different level altogether, Lagerfeld recreated entire Paris streetscapes, supermarkets and art galleries. Beautifully tailored and exquisitely embellished clothes on models that seem to be going about in a French Bistro, he has captured the idea of how our cultures are evolving.
Exuberantly embroidered dresses and trousers, designer Philo has used her wit in creating this collection and giving it a maximalist outlook.
Apart from the above mentioned designers that stole the show, Miu Miu, Givenchy, Nina Ricci, McCartney, Balmain and many more presented groundbreaking designs that will be remembered for a long time to come.
The most interesting highlight of the event was however a surprise! The very handsome Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson from the 2001 film Zoolander walked the ramp in Valentino and left the crowd screaming and cheering in their seats. Zoolander 2 is all set to come out in February, 2016 and what better way than to make a public appearance to announce the same?
