While that’s not all, there were many more designers like Pallavi Singh, Masaba Gupta, Anita Dongre, Tarun Tahiliani and many others who set the stage on fire with their fantastic designs.
Bollywood actors and actresses have always walked the ramp at fashion weeks to add more glamour to the already shiny event. This year, Vidya Balan walked the ramp for Gaurang Shah in a lovely Kanjeevaram Saree and looked lovely in her South Indian attire.
Riteish Deshmukh walked the ramp for Raghavendra Rathore with a brocade Nehru jacket and a black kurta and looked extremely handsome.
Shraddha Kapoor walked the ramp for United Colors of Benetton and looked chic as always in their fabulous clothing line especially designed keeping in mind the interests of the lively and fashion-loving masses.
Aditya Roy Kapoor walked the ramp for Tom Tailor and looked dapper dressed in a black leather jacket teamed with a printed Tom Tailor blue shirt and dark denims by Tom Tailor Denim. While Monica Dogra displayed her edgy side in black scuba pants by Tom Tailor and a Tom Tailor leather jacket.
Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, Sunny Leone, Sri Devi, Dia Mirza, Kajol, Vivek Oberoi, and Jacqueline Fernandez… Phew! The list of the celebrities that attended the event is literally endless!
Rohit Bal’s statement also became a highlight of the event. “It’s the only reason I can afford to buy these [Corneliani] shoes. Otherwise I wouldn’t be surviving. Let’s face it, my bread, my butter, my jam, everything comes from bridal. I’m so, so thankful to all of you gorgeous girls and guys who spend incredible amounts of money to get married. Big hand for big-bang Indian weddings. Love it.” That’s what the quirky designer had to say about Indian Weddings and Fashion. Very true indeed!!!
Mandira Bedi presented her elegant collection as the evergreen Shabana Azmi walked the ramp for her in a glittering red sari with a turquoise blue blouse.
Her designs were extremely beautiful with sarees that ranged from gold, yellow, pink, magenta, orange made in assorted silk and brocade borders.
