What do you do when you hear that one of the most iconic fashion houses has finally confirmed the launch of their much awaited cosmetic range? You breathe a sigh of relief. With your favourite luxury fashion brand foraying into the world of skin care and cosmetics and getting their longtime muse, Charlotte Casiraghi, to be the face of their new range, it doesn’t get better than this.
Yes Gucci has confirmed the launch of its first ever cosmetic range in September this year after the rumours started doing the rounds late 2013. Grace Kelly’s granddaughter, daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and fifth in line to the throne of Monaco, Charlotte said, “I have really enjoyed my relationship with Frida (Giannini- Creative Director) over these last four years, and I am now excited to work with her again on this signature product. I have great admiration for her both as a designer and a strong and visionary woman.”
The range will include eye, face, lip and nail make up along with brushes and skin ‘preparation’ products. The range will be produced with the P&G Prestige group who are also responsible for producing fragrances such as Gucci Guilty and Gucci Première. Pat McGrath, Gucci’s Creative Design Director and who is also the make – up artist for their ready – to – wear catwalk shows, will be involved with a lot of product direction. With her vision and creativity, we are super excited to see what lies in store.
There has been no sneak peak released from their side, however, they will be rolling out their ad campaigns (shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott) soon, along with a digital film by Fabien Baron. We cannot wait to get our hands on their latest range. What about you?
