For years now, Android and iOS have been battling it out to be the best, and the fight has always been an interesting one, with both unwilling to settle down for the second spot. Taking it all a step further are the latest flagships unveiled by the duo. The Google Nexus 5 and the iPhone 5S, both packed with a bunch of awesome features, promise to offer you a lot more than what you expect. But, which one do you think truly deserves the first spot? A close look at the specs might help you decide.

Design

When it comes to design, Apple always manages to get it right on target. Constructed out of metal and glass, the new iPhone 5S weighs just 112 grams and is only 7.6mm thick. The Nexus 5 may not the best looking smartphone on the planet, but isn’t the worse either. At 130 grams, the handset does seem a bit heavy. So, in terms of design, the iPhone 5S grabs the prize.

Display

The Nexus 5 sports a 4.95-inch display, while the iPhone 5S, like it’s predecessor features a slightly smaller 4-inch screen. Currently, one of the major deciding factors for buying a smartphone is the display size. No wonder then Nexus makes it to the top of the list when it comes to screen size.

Hardware

The iPhone 5S is powered by the latest A7processor clocked at 1.3 GHz teamed up with a 1 GB RAM, while the Nexus 5 packs in a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor and a 2 GB RAM. Both feature an 8 MP rear snapper. However, the one found on the iPhone 5S is much better than the one fitted on Nexus 5. Again, the Nexus 5 seems to have a slight edge over the iPhone 5S in terms of the hardware.

Connectivity Options

The Nexus 5 comes with NFC support, while the iPhone 5S doesn’t. However, the latter does compensate by packing-in a fingerprint scanner and a chip that detects motion-based activities.

The Price Factor

While the Nexus 5 costs you around Rs. 30000, the iPhone 5S comes with a slightly expensive price tag of Rs. 53500. So, if you are looking out for a handset packed with a bunch of powerful features, Nexus 5 is for you. For those looking out for a device with a good camera and a fabulous design, iPhone 5S is without a doubt the right choice.
