The U11 is one of the best phones from HTC in recent years. This phone can’t beat the iPhone or Galaxy devices, but it has been a step in the right direction for the Taiwanese brand. Based on the user feedback, you can expect HTC to iron out the rough edges in its next handset. And going by the rumour mill, HTC’s next premium smartphone is going to be the U11 Plus. The company is expected to unveil this phone on November 2. But, thanks to our collaborator @OnLeaks, you don’t have to wait that long to find out how the HTC U11 Plus looks like.

Along with the renders, @OnLeaks has also shared some technical bits. The HTC U11 Plus is going to measure roughly 158.2 mm (l) x 74.6 mm (w) x 9.1 mm (d). He claims that the U11 Plus will sport a 6-inch screen. Despite major brands joining the dual camera party, HTC will stay out of its at least for now. The upcoming phone will sport a conventional single lens camera. It will, however, ditch the 3.5 mm audio jack in favour of USB Type-C port.
The 3D renders reveal that the U11 Plus looks a lot like the U11. HTC will be using the ‘Liquid surface’ seen on the U11. For those unaware, it is a unique glass colouring technique to achieve depth in colour. The phone’s front is dominated by the screen. In order to allocate maximum space to display, the company has moved fingerprint sensor on the back.
We believe that the HTC U11 Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, as that’s still the most powerful chipset from Qualcomm. You can expect it to ship in 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM variants. There are likely to be 64 GB / 128 GB storage versions to choose from.
To compete with the Galaxy S8 and LG G6, HTC will opt for Quad HD+ display resolution. Among other things, you can expect Boom sound enhancements and Edge Sense squeezable frame gestures to be be carried over from the U11.
