Get ready for yet another suspense thriller directed by none other than Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor. Slated to be released on June 27, 2014, the star cast includes Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead while Riteish Deshmukh in a negative role. By the way, Mohit Suri has been credited with successful films such as Aashiqui-2, Raaz-2, Zeher and Who Lamhe.

It seems Shraddha Kapoor had no qualms in signing up for this film as her earlier film Aashiqui 2 was also directed by Mohit Suri has been a hit one. Also, continuing with the Aashiqui 2 cast, you can watch Shaad Randhawa playing the grey cop. Though this is romantic thriller, watch out for an action packed role of Siddarth Malhotra in the movie.

Sidharth plays the role of Guru who is a tough quiet boy working for a politician. Already troubled by his gruesome past, he falls in love with Aisha enacted by Shraddha Kapoor who encourages him to start afresh. As the pair relocate to Mumbai from Goa, Aisha gets killed mysteriously. The movie progresses with Sidharth aka Guru’s hunt for his beloved’s killers making the film a true action thriller.

It seems Mohit Suri very much prefers Mithoon & Ankit Tiwari who has been credited with the hit music of Aashiqui 2. EK Villain has 6 sound tracks in all, with Shraddha Kapoor lending her voice to Galliyan (unplugged version) which is composed by Ankit Tiwari. Other songs Banjara, Zaroorat, Awari, Humdard have received rave reviews especially on their composition. Its lyrics have been penned by Soch a music band), Manoj Muntashir and Mithoon

Promotion of the movie and its music has been extensively done through the online release of its teasers and trailers on YouTube. As figures state, these videos have crossed more than 5 million views in the first week of June itself. Also, Ek Villain was promoted during the IPL semi finals and other musical events.

Will Ek Villain, yet another cult film by Mohit Suri click? Do plan to watch this one over the weekend!!
