Nail Art! I once had a colleague who made time each weekend to sport a unique nail art making all of us drool over it and get very very very jealous on the inside. The thing is she was extremely creative and artistic (she was a part time painter for God’s sake)! So, we would head back to our work stations with heavy heart and a nagging thought that we can never achieve this feat of having a tiny Krishna or floral designs on our nails without paying a huge sum to some posh nail art expert. This was until a younger cousin smugly introduced me to some easy, simple and stylish nail art hacks that need just a little presence of mind, eye for right colour combinations, bit of patience and power-packed confidence to show it off! Here is letting you in on few of them:
What You need for this Nail Art DIY:
3 any colours of nail paint
1 black nail paint
Transparent nail polish
Thin cellotape
Nail Art DIY Steps
-
Apply the lightest shade vertically first and then let it dry. Follow the same with rest two shades (except for black)
-
Once all the three shades are dried. Apply a coat of transparent nail polish and let it dry.
-
Now cut short length of thin cellotape. Paste them in varied designs- horizontally, vertically, criss-cross, triangle, etc
-
As soon as it’s stuck in place, apply black paint. This is last application in this multicoloured nail art DIY.
-
Now wait till black paint dries up and remove the thin cellotapes and admire the fine nail art that you just accomplished!
What You need for this Nail Art DIY:
Mint blue nail paint
White black nail paint
Transparent nail polish
Nail Art DIY Steps
-
Apply a thick layer of white coloured nail paint on a transparent plastic sheet
-
Carefully remove it when dried and cut it into fine geometric designs as shown in the image no. 4
-
Now apply the mint blue coloured nail paint and paste the white nail paint sheet while the blue paint is still wet.
-
Once everything is dried and set, cut the edges of white paint sheet finely with a cutter.
-
Hold your hand a little away and pat yourself for the neat work!
What You need for this Nail Art DIY:
Subtle Peach shaded nail paint
Baby pink nail paint
Small block of sponge with real tiny holes
Transparent nail polish
Nail Art DIY Steps
-
Apply the two layers of subtle peach shaded nail colour. Let it dry
-
Now on a clean surface mix subtle peach and baby pink colours one part as shown in image’s top right corner
-
Slowly tap sponge on this mixture and quickly top the sponge on the already painted nail. Ensure that the subtle peach colour is towards skin area of the nail
-
Once this completely dried off, apply transparent pain to smooth out the paint.
-
Clean the excess paint that poured out the finger.
