The battle of smartphones seems never ending and the end of every financial quarter sees a brand launch a super-phone. September 2013 saw the release of Xiaomi Mi3. The model will be launched today in the Indian market and is a much awaited Android Handset considering the price range and the features it offers. The much talked about Xiaomi Mi3 is compared to the already established Moto G, and this is what has caught the eye.
Xiaomi Mi3 boasts of a 5-inch display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. The IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen resolution is about 1080 by 1920 pixels. On the other hand Moto G has a smaller, 4.5 inch display with a pixel density of 329 ppi.
Mi3 is run on a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8247AB while the Moto G is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. More than anything else this factor gives Xiaomi Mi3 a plus one.
Mi3 edges out Moto G in the memory criteria, as well. The basic variant for the former comes with a 16 GB internal memory while the latter offers an 8 GB model. Both devices though do not have an external memory slot the other variants offered by Xiaomi and Moto come with 64GB and 16 GB respectively. Also, Mi3 has a 2GB RAM while Moto G loses out again with a 1 GB RAM.
Of course Xiaomi Mi3 offers the ideal features that an Android Handset has viz. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. However, it also offers NFC. (Near Field Communication). Yes, you’ve read this right. Another plus point for Xiaomi Mi3 over Moto G.
All these rich features come at the price tag of 13999 INR only, which is near about the same bracket as of Moto G.
Amazingly Xiaomi Mi3 has features that could be compared to Galaxy Note S3, SonyExperia Z1, and the Google Nexus 5. Overall Mi3 promises to grip the Indian markets having high-end features at a relatively low price.
