Hinting that Blackberry Z3 is ready to hit Indian markets, Blackberry has started sending out launch invites asking to block June 25 to witness the unveiling of next generation Blackberry 10 device.
At an official launch in Jakarta, Blackberry had told that India will be amongst the seven countries to have Blackberry Z3 launched. The date of release was not revealed then as the company wanted to see the response in Indonesia.
To take on the markets of Samsung, Motorola, HTC and Nokia, Blackberry is likely to keep the price of Z3 around Rs 12,000. The low price is keeping in mind the price sensitive nature of the Indian market.
The phone was earlier launched in Indonesia at $190 which is approximately Rs. 11,500 INR. This launch is said to be an effort to win back the lost market of Blackberry. Since the past two years, it has failed to keep up with the competition and has lost a significant amount of market share.
According to market estimates 70% of smartphone buyers prefer phones below $200 approximately Rs 12000. Considering this, Blackberry is trying to get into the options that 70 % of the population will consider the Z3 to be an affordable option to buy.
The smartphone will feature 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and expandable up to 32 GB along with 5MP rear camera.
Soon launching in India, hope you wait for the Blackberry Z3, if you wish to use this one!!
