Kamshet is one of my personal favourite gliding destinations, as I learnt my first flying lessons from this small town. Located 45 km from Pune, Kamshet is best place for beginners in paragliding and can be easily reached off the Mumbai-Pune highway.
Nestled in Sahayadri range, Kamseth is blessed with topography that allows easy take offs. Except for the monsoon months, you can paraglide in Kamshet throughout the year.

Bir Billing in Himachal Pradesh is the best paragliding spots of India and is counted amongst the top 5 paragliding locations of the world. With India hosting the Paragliding World Championships for the first time, this is the place to be for every paraglider. The event is scheduled to begin from the 23rd of October.
Located in the Kangra Valley, Billing Bir has an altitude of 2600m and is easily accessible from Manali and Dharamsala. The best time to visit this Himalayan town is between March and June.
