While the classic baked eggs are great for adults, but when it comes to kids, you may have a difficult time. So, why not serve them baked eggs in an interesting and colourful way without compromising on the health benefits of this wonder-packed food. Tweak the way you bake eggs in edible cups with these four recipes:

1. Eggs in Pepper Cups

  • Bell Peppers – 4

  • Large Eggs – 4

  • Kosher Salt

  • Pepper (Grounded)

  • Fresh Herb (Finely Chopped)


  • Preheat your microwave to 350°F

  • Using a sharp knife, slice the bottom of each pepper (to form a shallow cup) or if you want, you can slice the pepper into thick rings

  • Do not throw away the tops of peppers

  • Place the peppers on a baking sheet and crack one egg into each of the cups or rings

  • Season with black pepper and salt and bake (almost 25 minutes) until the whites become firm (the egg yolk will be a little gooey at this stage)

  • Potatoes (Baked) – 2

  • Butter – 1 tbsp.

  • Eggs – 2

  • Bacon (Cooked and Crumbled) – 2 strips

  • Cheddar (Shredded) – 2 tbsp.

  • Parsley – 1 tbsp.

  • Kosher Salt

  • Pepper (Grounded)


  • Take a baked potato and using a sharp knife cut off the top third (sideways)

  • Using a spoon, carefully hollow out the potato to make a bowl

  • Make sure to leave enough room for the eggs, cheese and bacon

  • Now, in each potato bowl place almost half a tsp. butter and then crack an egg into it

  • Top it with bacon, cheddar cheese and parsley along with the salt and pepper

  • Arrange the potato bowl in a baking tray and bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes

  • Slice off the tops and scoop out the pulp and seeds from the tomatoes

  • Place the tomatoes on a baking tray and crack one egg in each of these tomato bowls

  • Follow it with a teaspoon of cheese

  • Sprinkle dried herbs, pepper and salt

  • Bake at 425°F for almost 20 minutes

  • Avocado (Halved and Pitted) – 1

  • Bacon (Cooked and Crumbled) – 2 strips

  • Fresh Chives (Chopped) – 2 tsp.

  • Parsley (Dried)

  • Sea Salt

  • Black Pepper (Grounded)


  • Preheat your microwave to 425°F

  • Scoop out a little pulp from the avocados to make a bowl

  • Arrange the avocado on a baking tray and crack an egg in each of the avocado halves

  • Now, place a little bacon on top of the eggs

  • Season with parsley, chives, sea salt and pepper
