A Never Like Before Design: iPhone X reigned supreme at Apple’s latest launch event, widening many eyes with its stunning and exclusive design. Indeed, iPhone X looks completely different from any of the existing iPhone models, hinting at what Apple’s design philosophy is going to be like in the coming years. Except for the thin trapezoid indention housing the front camera and sensors, near its upper edge, the iPhone X has an edge to edge glass display. Apple has also trimmed its bezel to an almost imperceptible thickness, giving this flagship an edgier and sleeker appearance. Another major change in design is the absence of home button, enabling users to operate with on-screen touch functionality. The power button has to be tapped for Apple Pay and long pressing it will bring Siri to your aid. The body is made with a combination of stainless steel and glass, infusing the needed sturdiness in its built without compromising on style a single bit.
A Bigger Than Before Display: Like the design, the display of iPhone X exudes novelty as well. This is the first flagship in which Apple has used OLED display, also known as Super Retina HD Display, with 2436X1125 pixel resolution and 458 ppi for vibrant and refined picture quality. Unlike, regular LEDs that light up blacks, turning them into a darker grey shade, OLED does not flash dark colours like black with a light, making the contrast more pleasing to eyes and the colours even brighter. Incorporated with Apple’s TrueTone Technology, this smartphone’s display makes hours of browsing less strenuous for your eyes. Due to a considerable reduction in the screen-to-size ratio, iPhone X has a bigger screen without being heftier in size than the iPhone 7.
A Cool Camera: As expected, iPhone X comes packed with incredible rear and front cameras. The vertical camera strip at its back contains dual 12-megapixel camera sensors with f/1.8 and ½.4 aperture sizes. The brand-new Portrait Lighting Mode of this phone’s camera lets you tune the flash from a naturally lit effect to a spotlight effect as needed. To minimize any chances of shakes iPhone X comes with Dual Optical Image Stabilization technology. Another remarkable feature is its 4K video quality and slow-motion shooting with HD quality. The camera panel at the back is also loaded with quad-LED True Tone Flash. The 7-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture size offers features like body and face detection, retina flash, exposure control and auto image stabilisation.
A Safer Face ID: Doing away with the fingerprint sensor, Apple has introduced the face recognition or Face ID technology with iPhone X. The dot projector, flood illuminator, and infrared camera work in coherence for recognizing the face of users before unlocking the phone.
An Updated Operating System: The new iPhone X will flaunt an updated iOS 11.
An advanced Chipset: It houses an A11 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture and M11 motion processor.
