The much awaited upgrade of Android will be officially launched on November 3 this year as per the note revealed to app developers. The note which was obtained by Android Police tells the developers the kit for Android 5.0- lollipop is now available for further testing their apps and for developing new apps as well. Once through with the testing, they can proceed make these apps available at the Google Play store. Post this stage; consumers can gain access to Android 5.0 from November 3 2014 onwards.
This comes as good news for Android users who have been following Google updates relating to the release of Android 5.
Lollipop 5.0 was first announced at a Google I/O conference in June as Android L. It was recently that it was renamed as Lollipop. This version will introduce a 64-bit processor support and will have its priority as battery life. The Lollipop works around the concept of Material Design which promises a better intuitive multi tasking user experience.
Latest smartphones which are likely to be loaded with Android 5.0 include Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 tablet would be available in market from early November. The exact availability of Lollipop update for other devices has not exactly been revealed. Still, it is speculated that many models of HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony will have this update available. It is also likely that upgrades for most phones will take place in the mid January 2015.
