Summer holiday is here, and what better way than watching some movies at your nearby theatre. While movies are great entertainers, it also sometimes gives you a glimpse of evolving ethos of the society as a whole. Some romance, some comic capers, some thrillers and some sci-fi, the choice is wide and endless. 1. Guest Iin London:
Guest Iin London is a comedy caper that is hitting the theatres across the country on the 16th of June 2017. Written and directed by Ashwini Dhir, this flick promises to be a laugh riot. This movie stars Paresh Rawal, Kriti Kharbanda, Kartik Aaryan, and Tanvi Azmi in lead roles. The story revolves around Kartik Aaryan and Kirti Kharbanda who are in a live-in relationship and how their life turns upside down when Paresh Rawal and Tanvi Azmi enter their house and stay there for a couple of days. Guest Iin London has music by Amar Mohile. This laugh riot is produced by Panorama Studios & Co Produced by Nishant Pitti and is said to be the sequel of 2010 blockbuster ‘Atithi Tum Kab Ayoge’ by the same director.

One of the most awaited movies of 2017, Raabta starts M S Dhoni fame Sushant Singh Rajput, Kirti Sion, and Jim Sarbh (Neerja Fame), with Deepika Padokone (title track) and Rajkumar Rao pulling off a cameo. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, Raabta has music by Pritam and background score by Sachin-Jigar. Said to be the unofficial rip off of Telegu blockbuster Magadhera, Raabta portrays two lovers who meet after their soul transcends beyond the realms of life and death. United again, how their life takes them hundred years back and the subsequent unnerving roller coaster ride that follows, forms the background of this entertaining flick. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Homi Adajania, Bhushan Kumar, Raabta hits the theaters all over the country on 9th June.

After the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijan, Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are coming together with yet another entertainer, Tubelight. Amidst the backdrop of Indo-Sino war, this flick is already a hit according to the trade analysts. The movie stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, the Late Om Puri, Chinese Actor Zhu Zhu, Raghuvir Yadav and Yashpal Sharma as well as Sharukh Khan in a cameo. Tubelight is a heartwarming tale about an Indian boy and his unshakable love for his family and his faith in his own self. This romantic drama is produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan and is said to be inspired by the film ‘Little Boy’ by Alejandro Monteverde. Julius Packiam delivered the music for this picture that releases all over the world on 25th June 2017.

4. Bank Chor
Yet another comic Caper, Bank Chor is a story of three men trying to rob a bank. And as destiny has in store, everything goes wrong in the process and these three men are caught in the crossfire. This laugh riot stars Vivek Oberio, Riteish Deshmukh, Reah Chakravarty, Sahil Vaid, Bhuvan Arora and Vikram Thapa. Directed by Bumpy, this film has music by
Kailash Kher, Rochak Kohli, Shri Sriram and Shamir Tandon. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Ashish Patil, Bank Chor releases on 16th June 2017 at theaters all across the country.

One of the most awaited releases of the year is Baywatch, which is hitting the theaters in India on 2nd June 2017. Baywatch is already a well known television series with the same name in United States. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Ilfenesh Hadera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, David Hasselhoff, and Pamela Anderson. This action comedy is directed by Seth Gordon. The basic premise of this film revolves around Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson), who is the leader of the elite Baywatch lifeguard squad. Eventually he gets into a scuffle with a new recruit Matt Brody, a washed-up pro athlete. However, things change drastically when a dead body is fished out from the ocean. Now, the onus of the event lies with these two men and they must put aside their differences and work to get the truth out. Watch out for our very own Priyanka Chopra sizzling as an antagonist in Baywatch.

6. Wonder Woman
If you are a superhero flick lover, then grab ‘Wonder Woman’ that releases all across the country on 2nd June 2017. Distributed by Warner Bros. this film is based on DC Comics characters of the same name. Patty Jenkins directed the film that stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Gal Gadot, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis and Elena Anaya. Wonder Woman has screenplay by Allan Heinberg, which is based on the story weaved by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs. According to the story, when the Amazon princess Diana meets American military pilot Steve Trevor she comes to know about the ongoing events of World War I. Baffled, Diana then leaves her home for London in a bid to end the ongoing war, which forms the crux of the story. Rupert Gregson-Williams has written and composed music for the film. Wonder Woman is set to release in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.

7. Transformers: The Last Knight
Transformers: The Last Knight is a sci-fi entertainer that is releasing at the theaters on 23rd June 2017. This is the fifth of the live action Transformer series that have been huge hits over the past few years. The last one was Transformers: Age of Extinction that released in 2014. Directed by Michael Bay, this installment stars Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci, along with Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro from the first three parts. The main premise of this film revolves around the war that has begun between the human living on the earth and the transformers, again. Now in the absence of Optimus Primes, Cade Yeager marched forward to form an alliance with Bumblebee, who is an English lord. Subsequently, he also approaches a professor from Oxford to enhance his knowledge about Transformers and why they keep coming back to the earth. This part promises to dwell in the past and history of Transformers in detail, which makes it an intriguing watch. Stated to be the final picture of the Transformer franchise, this flick is released by Paramount Pictures and is available across the theaters in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
