With winters setting in, everyone eagerly waits for Christmas which is merely a fortnight away now. So, why not start making a list of things that you would like to prepare for your kids and guests. Just keep in mind that you will be just 5-minutes away from these yummicious cakes.

Try out these two easy mug cake recipes with just a handful of ingredients!


Mug cake chocolate @TheRoyaleIndia


Chocolate mug cakes are super-easy to prepare with ingredients that you can almost always find in your refrigerator.


Ingredients chocolate mug cake @TheRoyaleIndia
  • All purpose flour – 4 tbsp

  • Sugar – 4 tbsp

  • Unsweetened cocoa – 1 tbsp

  • Whisked egg – 2 tbsp

  • Milk – 3 tbsp

  • Oil – 3 tbsp

  • Chocolate chips – 3 tbsp

  • Vanilla or peppermint essence (optional)


  • Take a microwave-safe coffee mug of your choice

  • Add all the dry ingredients to it and mix well

  • Add the whisked egg and mix well

  • Now add oil, milk as well as chocolate chips to this mixture

  • You can also add a drop of vanilla essence and stir well

  • Microwave for three minutes

  • It will crown over the top of your mug, don’t panic as it will collapse once you take it out

  • All purpose flour – 4 tbsp

  • Baking powder – ¼ tsp

  • Granulated sugar – 4 tsp

  • Milk (preferably fat-free) – 4 tbsp

  • Peanut Butter – 3 tbsp


  • Combine all the above-mentioned ingredients in a microwave-safe mug

  • Mix well until the batter is smooth

  • Microwave for a minute or two

  • Serve hot
